When my full screen DirectX application is downsized, and then restored, for some reason the game stops, and non of the bitmaps, etc are restored. Why is this? I want the game to resume where it left off if the program is downsized. Any help is appreciated.

try looking up ''alt tab'' or something similar. i''m assuming when you say downsized and restored, you mean the user has pressed alt+tab to get out of the fullscreen app and then tried to go back to it.
