Dungeon Dash: Arcade

Hi everyone,

Decided to make an arcade style game as my first android game project.

The idea was mostly to learn / test different aspects of android game development but it's a complete game experience in its own right with 2 main modes: hand-made campaign with 50 levels (normal/hardcore modes) and procedurally generated endless mode with high scores (+Google Play leaderboards).

There's no specific engine used, everything is drawn on the canvas (probably wasn't the best idea but seems to be working just fine). Includes integration with Google Play Services Achievements and Leaderboards.

I did all the initial testing on my own on both actual devices and emulators but i'm still looking for feedback on present issues and, maybe, just general ideas on what can be improved / is missing / shouldn't be there in the first place.

Requirements: Android 4.4 and above

Sadly I can't test it myself since I'm on iOS but congrats for your download numbers!

I managed to get to 50+ downloads with my game released in march too but it was not easy at all without a budget! :/ Making the world know about our game is so hard…

It is pretty hard indeed. This project was more like a learning experience in a lot of ways. I feel like for my next game I will absolutely have to spend certain amount on marketing, which will be a learning experience in and of itself. And also means including questions about the game presentation from the very beggining of the development process.

I do have several ideas for my next game, just need to choose one to commit to. Meanwhile I will continue to support this current project, of course.
