Is there a way to turn off posts from “Your Announcements” and/or “Hobby Projects Classified”? There is one that is so delusional, it's annoying.

Not at the moment, but I'd like to make the home page customizable. So let me look at that...

Yes, to me “home page” would refer to root index. (i.e. https://www.gamedev.net)
I've seen some visibility control for the major forum groupings though the dashboard account settings/content page but (correct me if I'm wrong) it doesn't appear to include the Community group or better yet subsections of it. No worries because the mission has already been accomplished and one may argue that the Lounge was actually the correct original placement for the purpose.
