Two fireworks shows down in Florida outside of Miami I did for this holiday weekend went great - Arthur was well to the north and the T-storms stayed away during the evenings. Got home last night so here's the Late But Still Great edition of Weekend Reading, with entries from 6/28 - 7/6

Say hello to new journal authors Migi0027, sck8000 and GoCatGo!

Project Updates

  • Lactose!'s Journal - Lactose! and team managed to overcome some memory issues to get the game playable in time for a game dev conference, although he wishes he had gotten video of the people playing

Game Dev Stuffs

  • The Bag of Holding - ApochPiQ is back with another Visual Studio rant. Actually more like a rage. But it is well justified

He was looking to go over the changes made to the ComponentManager class in dustArtemis - a fork of Artemis Entity System (a BSD-licensed small Java framework for setting up Entities, Components and Systems)
  • slayemin's Journal - slayemin takes a look back at the month that's been the start of his new self-funded game company

  • Journal of eppo - eppo takes a look at the Modo modeler program and shows off his Modo-to-D3D converter
  • Gamieon's Journal - Gamieon talks about how he wanted to serve ads for Hamster Chase and how he got them setup for Windows Phone 8
