Tower Placement

This post is a smaller one, but I figured it's been awhile.  It's also getting close to the deadline and I'm starting to panic.  Maybe alternating between projects wasn't the best strategy.  But progress is continuing.  Once I have enemies programmed it'll be tying it all up into a game experience.  I'm probably only going to be able to meet the minimum requirements for this challenge by the end date.  Here's hoping.

Anyways, here's a quick video of tower placement along with the Tetra-Tosser.

Cheers

Just do the best you can. :) I'm sure you can make it happen! Just think about how you can make short cuts to finish.

Yup definitely with the shortcuts, on the artwork especially I would use placeholders, just if you can get some boxes moving for enemies that should be fine. :)

Here's an even better video of the work I accomplished today.  Looking much better.
Added:
- starting area color: blue
- ending area color: purple
- created walls around created towers
- prevented towers and walls from being built in starting and ending areas of enemies
- prevented towers from being built one on top of eachothers
- added a dummy enemy
- dummy enemy moves from a random starting location to the nearest goal location
- separated the tower base and turret models, now the turrets pivot to look at the enemy it wants to attack
- lazy fixed my first bug, didn't resolve it, just found a convenient way out.

Here's a quick video

Thanks lawnjelly.  before last night I was thinking 'ah-oh'.  But now I'm a bit relieved.

What doesn't show up well in the video are the fire spurts each time a barrel fires.  There is a quick two frame 3D animation.  But in this video it seems those frames are eliminated.  Too bad.
