It's not the world that is wrong. It's YOU.

I might be wrong, but I'm 80% sure that when you think about your career, you think "What do I want to do?"

From there you kinda pick something that's interesting to YOU and go from there.

If you want to be an indie game developer, this means you probably work on the game YOU want to make.

If you want to become an employee of a company, you tell them all about YOU in the interview.

If you want to find a publisher, you pitch them the game YOU envisioned.

And so on.

This might look OK, but it's not.

But it's not your fault.

We've been TRAINED that way. We've learned from ROCKSTARS.

The reason comes from this nugget of wisdom:

"Money earned ethically is the product of VALUE GENERATION"

This means that in order to be successful and earn money, you need to GENERATE VALUE.

And thinking all the time about YOU is not the right approach to generate value to THEM (those that have the money).

You need to shift your thinking. You need to do it now.

Start thinking about what THEY need, and not what YOU want.

Learning this took me 8 years of failures and a couple tens of thousands of dollars.

I hope this will help you!

Until next time!
