Economics was never my strongest subject

I noticed a week ago that the Australian dollar was fetching over ninety US cents a couple of weeks back, so I thought it was a good time to do some overseas shopping for myself and early presents for Christmas (factoring in delays in shipping time.)

I've since noticed that the exchange rate has since dipped back below ninety cents.

Conclusion: I have single-handedly reversed the downturn in the ailing US economy.

If you U.S. citizens will petition Congress to get rid of those pesky restrictions on who can run for president (what do you have against under 35 non-citizens anyway?) I think this will make a great first item point on my run for the White House in '08.

Item 2: Once I graduate in '08 I'll need a place to crash, and the White House probably has a wickedly fast Internet connection

You've got my vote!

...but you've gotta let me chill in the White House whenever I want. Deal?

I'm (hopefully) finishing up my Ph.D. at the ANU next year. That's one more strike against my presidential chances; I'm overeducated.

Plus I have terrible hair and don't look good in ties.

Deal. I'll put a foosball table and jukebox in the Oval Office, and see if I can get a mini-golf course built on the South Lawn. I hope I can get some discounts on home-delivered pizza too. It'll be a blast.

I'd vote for you, but if you win I'm moving into the Lincoln Bedroom.

Pfft. Just find yourself an over-35 US-born person, get him to be president, and then camp out in the White House. That place probably has loads of extra bedrooms.

Dunno anyone around here who fits that bill, though. Hmmmmmm.

I'de vote for you, if you plan on cutting down our national debt. Might want to start saving your money!

Could I at least be a member of Cabinet (Secretary of Education would be nice, although Secretary of Energy or Transportation would do), and occasionally fly in Air Force One?
