Jeanne, Jeanne, Jeanne

Hurricane Jeanne is on its way. Last couple of forecasts have it headed right over my house sometime Sunday afternoon. Yay. There's talk in the local media that because of all the help Ivan victims are getting, it's possible that the time for us to get electricity back could be twice as long. Tomorrow morning starts the last minute preparations, including getting some food, ice, batteries, doing all my laundry, any last minute things around the house requiring electricity, trimming the loose branches from the previous hurricanes, and finally putting up the plywood on the windows.

So, I might not have power again for a while after sometime Saturday night. I've spent 2 of the last 6 weeks in my own house with electricty, 17 days without eletricity, and the rest out of town. It's been a crazy period of time.

But I'm ready. Bring it on Jeanne.
