No More File Loading...

I have completely lost interest in writing a file loader for Milkshape3D files. After verifying that I am indeed loading the exact same values as a function model viewer (that can be downloaded from the Milkshape3D website) I am at a complete loss as to why the viewer properly plays the animation and my interpretation of the file values doesn't. I know for certain that my scene graph is being updated with the values from the loaded file, and I know for certain that my procedurally generated animation values work properly with skinning - but for some reason the Milkshape viewer program is using something different in the calculation setup or in the actual interpolation, and I'm truly sick of trying to figure out what the hell is wrong...

So, I'm going to try adding procedural animation streams to the loaded model skeleton, and if it works then I am going to cease and desist all MS3D activities. I'm ready to move on to something more interesting anyways...

Speaking of which, if you haven't already seen them then you should go read the articles on the nvidia website from GDC10. I haven't watched the videos yet, but the DX11 slide decks were interesting, and they also have some info on Metro 2033 which looks pretty phenomenal. There is also a quite a bit about gaseous fluid simulation - so if simulating gasses is your thing then be sure to check it out [grin].
