We have just finished working on intro to our game

It is animated story board with background music. For me it was image composition learing process.

I have considered base composition rule that says: only one object or shot are should attract viewer’s eyes. Additionaly i was inspired by very good book “Framed Ink” by Marcos Mateu-Mestre

https://www.amazon.com/Framed-Ink-Drawing-Composition-Storytellers/dp/1933492953.

It contains guides how to use light / dark to add some additional value to shot, based on telled story.

In shot above left and right sides of the dog are dark. Dog is in some kind of trap. The shape of the lead is bowed toward a dog what makes it even more readable. This picture anticipates the drama that is at the end of animation.

In this shot both the girl and the dog are lihgted with the same source of light. It can be read: Ther is a good communication between them.

Here we have two separates light areas with suggest that communication is lost.

Please vist our home page to see the final result.
