After much thought, I have decided to develop a strategy RPG game based loosely on the animal minigame from Week 4's tutorial.
In my game, you play as a farmer defending his land from assorted forest creatures trying to eat his livestock and cause chaos. Armed only with his scythe he must fend of waves of enemies and call upon assorted farmhands when necessary.
The allies I intend to implement in the game include:
- basic Farmhands armed with pitchforks
- blunderbuss wielding Gruff Rednecks that have a knockback effect
- Amateur boar hunters armed with pikes who do high damage but have little armour
- Trappers who will lay down animal traps to slow down the creatures of the woods
- And more if I have the time
The Enemies I intend to implement are:
- Wolves (As pictured below)
- Nifty Foxes
- The slow but Sturdy Bear
- Ankle biting Wolverines
- Stags with destructive horns
- And of course….The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog
Your allies won't work for free however and require compensation in the form of your crops that they are helping defend. You must defend your existing fields and purchase new ones in order to maintain a steady income to pay for new allies or upgrade fences and buildings.
At the end of each round, the player will receive experience points and materials which they can use to upgrade their character and unlock special abilities or improve their buildings and the equipment of their allies (The exact upgrades and abilities are yet to be decided but it will be stuff like extra health, better critical hit chance, faster movement, more stamina etc)

I will, for the most part, be using assets by SYNTY. Many of these assets I have bought for my own personal projects that I have worked on in the past. SYNTY models are my assets of choice when prototyping or developing small games such as this because of their simplicity which makes them easy to edit or animate with minimal difficulty (Plus the low poly style just really appeals to me). I will also be using assorted assets from the asset store as well as what I find online on websites such as TurboSquid, CGTrader and 3DWarehouse.
