Cyberscape: concept
I Wanted to share an concept my team's been cooking up lately. We know the gaming scene's pretty flooded with platformers, but we reckon our concept brings something new to the mix.
So, picture this: a fast-paced, parkour-driven action platformer. You'll be pulling off some slick moves over obstacles, using a grappling hook to swing around, all while dealing with enemies to reach the end of each level.
Now, we know these elements aren't groundbreaking, but here's where we're trying something different: instead of going on a robot rampage, you're actually a robot yourself, trying to escape from a swarm of other robots (and yeah, there's a backstory to it!). Your only option to deal with them? Stunning them with an EMP-like effect. It's all about strategy over brute force.
And here's the twist: as you progress, you'll earn credits (we might rename them later) to upgrade yourself or your gear. We're introducing a tech tree for upgrades, but with a twist: you won't be able to unlock everything. We want players to really consider their choices, shaping their journey based on their playstyle.
This is just the start, folks! We're open to your questions, feedback, and any tough queries we might not have considered yet. And hey, if you're interested in the story behind the game, drop me a Just ask in the comment and I might make a separate post about it! I'll be around to share more updates in the future and discuss anything related to the game or its gameplay. We will be linking our steam page and YouTube links later in the project.
