A lot of things have been improved since the last devlog. I know this is not a proper devlog video but I think investing into game dev is the right decision at this time. Below there is a list of some things that have changed since you last saw a post around here.
New Arena Skin
Figure 1: Castle Arena Map
A new castle-themed arena is now part of Atomic Blastman. With several custom meshes and several more destructible and indestructible cubes, Mossreach Ruins is the mos' beautiful arena so far.
New Game UI

Figure 2: New Game UI
The old UI just wasn't working. I had to design a new UI from the ground up. Even though some pictures like the blastmen you see above might be AI generated, almost everything you see in Atomic Blastman is hand crafted. Sometimes, an indie dev needs a little help though...
New Training Environment

Figure 5: TensorBoard UI
For those of you that are familiar with Reinforcement Learning, this game might feel amazing. You can use it to generate datasets for neural network training and you can also use the built in training pipeline to train your own models! Hyperparameters and parameters like state and rewards are fully customizable and user exposed. Also, you can use the Tensorboard web UI to monitor the training process.
New Tutorial Series

Figure 6: Atomic Blastman Powerup Showcase Series
I've also created a new tutorial series for Atomic Blastman showcasing each and every powerup in the game. It's a playlist dedicated to new players, designed to help you improve your skills and deepen your knowledge of the game. You can check it out here: Atomic Blastman Tutorials
Overall Improved Gameplay
- New Zone Shrink Sound Cues
- Improved Network Replication
- Multiplayer match spectating feature
- Adjusted products price (the base price ranges between 0.25$ - 0.5$, yea, you heard right. Also, almost everything in the shop can be purchased through regular XP, you don't necessarily need to spend your cash)
What's Next
Atomic Blastman now enters a 6–12 month wishlist-building period. The goal is to reach around 10,000 wishlists before launch. It's a bold target, but achievable with community support.
Help shorten the wait and support the game by wishlisting Atomic Blastman on the Steam store page.
