Engine VI Update
Developer Diary — Engine VI Progress

Development on Engine VI has continued at a steady pace, with much of the recent work focused on strengthening the engine's foundation rather than adding flashy new features. The architecture continues to evolve around a data-driven design, separating authored game content from persistent player state to keep the engine maintainable and save files compact.

I've also been refining the player interface, notifications, and quest systems while continuing to improve the underlying GUI, scripting, and persistence layers. These changes may not be immediately visible, but they'll make building future adventure games significantly faster and more reliable.

You may have noticed screenshots featuring environments from 96 Mill. Those assets are simply being used as a convenient test bed while the engine is under development, allowing me to focus on functionality instead of creating temporary artwork. The next game will feature an entirely new world.
Each update brings it one step closer to becoming a stable platform for future EDIGames projects.
See you next update!
