AI reviewed my game FiveBlocksFall
I asked AI to “review” my videogame FiveBlocksFall by analyzing docs, screenshots, and online info — not by actually playing.
The result was surprisingly detailed, with a few mistakes and even an apology for not “playing” the game. This raises a question:
Can an AI meaningfully review a game it never plays, only by reading?
Does this help developers, or distort expectations?
Here’s a excerpt from the last part of the review:
[Final Verdict FiveBlocksFall is a hidden gem of indie game design. Built from scratch in C++/SFML by a single programmer, its only real flaw is its lack of mainstream visibility and the absence of a mobile release. If you love hardcore puzzle mechanics, retro aesthetics, and deep economic strategy, this is a title that deserves to be played, backed, and shouted about.]
I’m curious to hear your thoughts — especially from devs and players.
Should AI‑generated reviews be part of game communities, or avoided?
