From what I read about the pregame hype - all of Mexico was counting on their team to beat the US - supposedly as a form of "come uppins" for having taken Arizona and California from them back in 1848. But I found that to be too much sports writer hyperbole. Even so, with all that national pressure on the Mexican team, it''s not surprising that they played rough at the end.

So who''s next? Germany?

Just realize this: Last World Cup, the US ended up dead last. The one before that, we only qualified because we were hosting it. This year, we''ve made it to the quarterfinals! BOOYAH!
