its probably because it doesn''t sound that gamedev ish....and its royalty pay,... i mean you could get an amateur game developer interested with royalty pay... but it would have to swound interesting...i am sure there are many who know MFC!
It's not a game project at all. It's a stock-trading program, and the IDE is just a side app.
I'm selling it as a subscription. The creatuer of the IDE would retain ownership of the IDE, and be paid in dollors per costomer per month.
You don't have to be proficient in MFC, just know enough to complete the project. Or if you want to do it in strait Win32 that's find.
As for probablity of the project reaching completion, it is high. To give you an idea, I've already spent the money on a trademark $350+, and I've been paying for and developing the web site for months.

A simple windows 95 look is fine. The GUI can be as simple as Notepad, with a "Check" button, as long as it gets the job done.
Here is a sample script:
------------------------
define value 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 enddef
if something = value then
function ( param , param )
function ( )
enddif
--------------------------
Everthing is seperated by whitespace, which makes the script easy to load and handle.
The connection between the IDE and the main app is the error checking FMS, which will be place in both programs.
The main app, upon loading a script, will check it for errors, and direct the user to the IDE if any are found. The developer of the IDE
develops the error checking code.
Minimally the ide needs to make sure the script is in the correct format/syntax, and give error messages is not. Possible future features are auto-format and color coding.

Its been a long time since I have written a language interpretor... but I have (informal) experience in it. I can do MFC as well. you can contact me at salman@programmers.ws or on my ICQ: 20812318
do you need the IDE to execute the script?
