Programmer Looking for Work

Hey man, I''m looking for exactly the same thing, and am coming from a similar position. Ideally I want to join a team that would have the source code for the client be open source. I think there should be a configurable open source client that could be configured to work with a custom server. That way you could make your own game server with its own unique rules and content, but use a client that is shared with many other games. Everyone thinks thier game content ideas are the best, and doesn''t want to spend a bunch of time working on someone else''s game. But with a common open source client, many people could work together to make a client with lots of features, without worrying that thier unique ideas will never have a chance to be realized.

If you manage to find a team that''s making a pretty cool game with a decent client, I''d appreciate it if you''d let me in on it, too.

Next month is the 1 year anniversary of this project which involves the creation of a 3D engine to build a game on. The engine is now about 60% complete, it works well :D. This summer we plan to make alot of progress... As we are finally rid of school for a little period.
