I was thinking of trying my hand at writing tutorials. I figured a raycasting tutorial would be something I know something about to be useful. I also figured that many people wishing to start 3D programming would probably dive right into something more advanced, such as D3D or OpenGL, and get lost in the mix. I only found one article on raycasting when I searched this site, so I thought maybe people would enjoy another one. It would probably be a Wolfenstein 3d style engine, but with some more advanced topics, such as lighting, fog, multiple height walls, and ceiling/ floor texturing.
Let me know what you think.
