I''m up to the point in my OpenGL resource that it says that you need entry - level windows programming. By this, do you think the author means MFC or VC++? I''m guessing VC++, thus... what''s a good resource or book that I can get my paws on to teach my some entry level windows programming? I''m willing to buy a VC++ book, because I need to learn that anyways, so, does anyone reccamend a VC++ book that might go well with my OpenGL book? Programming::~Fredric(const Annoy_Ance)

You can find that stuff on the net, the intermediate stuff is kinda rare but I''ve seen quite a few entry level articles...

So, VC++ it is? Either of you reccamend a book or URL to get/goto (ohhhhh baby, goto! A C++ keywork! Is Get one? I forget)

The book Programming Windows 95 by Petzold is a good way to get your basic windows programming started. Lotsa good examples. Yes, it''s getting a little dated, but coding-wise you need to program for Win95 still anyways. I personally dislike MFC--it removes you a step from understanding exactly what Windows is doing, and you need to know.

Programming Windows 95 from the ground up is a really cool book.. I haven''t read it, but- well, lemme tell you my situation.
I went to my local Chapters and picker up The Complete Reference: Visual C++ 6 by Pappas Murray. That book is crap! It''s boring, and I guess I misread (or it mislead) , but it doesn''t teach your windows programming. The first 3/4 are all on C and C++ (which I already know), so that book was waste. I''m taking THAT book back, and exchanging it fro Windows Programming 98 from the ground up (from the same author). It''s getting bitchin'' reviews, and I read the index- it''s exactly what I need. Anyhow, enough of my ramblings, just thought I''d post something since you mentioned that book to me.
