Dear Chris, I am having a problem of weights.dat not getting made when I do the export. I have not used the physique modifier but I used segmented joints model and linked parts accordinly in max to the biped. In max the animations work fine .. but when I export to only bones.pro and .prb are formed . The weights.dat files is not formed. The .bip files attached to the model work fine. Please Help! Nat

Physique makes the weights. If you aren''t using Physique you shouldn''t be using the biped export plugin in the first place.

Ok! .. but if I want to use physique I need to make the complete object into a single mesh .. when I do this the mapping information of various parts is lost as each body part uses a different texture. I know there is a way out since the soldier you made used different body parts ..with different textures .. could u plz tell me how to do that.

To use multiple textures on a single object, create a multi/sub object material, set up each material within that, and change the material id # for the faces.

This means I will need to retexture the whole model again ..can I escape this somehow because I have the segmented model textured already.

Well .. it was pretty simple .. just put all ur textures into a Multi/sub-object Matirial slot and then go to modify and attach all the segmented joints.

Thanks anyway,
Chris
