Hi. I want to know how much polys, a normal game engine can render in a good fps.

It depends on all kinds of things.
What do you mean by ''normal''
What API?
What type of engine (terrain, FPS, etc)
What speed of CPU?
What GFX Card?
What System? (Apple, PC)
What OS? (Win98, WinXP, WinNT, etc)

I can render 30K polys in scene at 40fps on a 750MHz with GF2mx. Optimised that should be more, maybe 100K on a GF3/4?

Hi.
Sorry instead of saying ''a normal game'', I said ''a normal game engine''.

Hi.
Here are the requirements:
DirectX 3D API.
P4 2 GHZ.
32 MB of video memory.
256 MB of SDRAM.
PC.
OS WinXP.
Hmm... a little too much right

32 MB of video memory.

What kind of video card? I have a 32MB card that could likely be outperformed by a few 16MB cards, and yet is better than any 64MB (shared memory) integrated card out there.
