New Programming Team!

Original Post
I want to start a new programming team for newbies. We should move pretty fast and we should learn by doing! If you want to join, plz give a reply with your experence (if any) listed. Also send an email, DarkNebula45@hotmail.com
Thanks!
Real programmers don''t comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
Debugging is anticipated with distaste, performed with reluctance, and bragged about forever.

Difficulty is completly relative...Most programmers dont comment their code so others can understand it, but more so that they can remember exactly what it does when they come back to it hours, days, weeks, months later...and usually the one who wrote it can understand it, just need alittle comment to jog the memory!
Sorry for off-topic.
Best luck to getting a team together tho!

It''s for newbies, eh? Well, that sounds interesting. Excuse my asking, but how experienced are you yourself? Well, I''m pretty new. I''ve been studying C++ (including OpenGL) on the internet for a while as kind of a hobby. I''m thinking about maybe being a professional when I get older, though. I''ve never made any big programs worthy of bragging, and I''ve never been in a programming team, so it would be pretty new to me. Have you gotten anyone else to join yet? Well, I''m not giving a definite answer as to if I''m willing to join, but it sounds interesting.
Well, im kinda a newbie myself but i have C++ for Dummies, Vb Step by Step, Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus (which i read, but i still need to read it again) I know Vb very well, and am kinda new to C++ but have read the Cprogramming.com tutorials also, im thinking of putting up a website too. I really havnen''t gotten many to join yet, i think we should keep it at a mimium so people can learn as much as they can. I''m kinda young and wish to enter the game programming field as i get older. I stil need a name for the team also! Again, if u want to join reply and email me, i have about 1 or 2 people signed up right now. Plz sign up!! Lol! We should have fun!

Well, like I said it sounds interesting, but I''m not sure. Yes, making games for a living could be a ton of fun.
You are kind of young? Well, I''m fourteen. Like I said, I''ve been kind of studying C++. I used to have a website, but nothing special. Way back before I started C++, when I was an extreme newbie and knew nothing about programming, I kind of looked around and began in C#. There weren''t many sites for it though, so I soon found my trying futile, and began searching for stuff on what I heard to be a very powerful language(C++). Well, that''s enough to say about myself. I should be up for about another four or five hours (it''s 10:09 P.M. according to my computer clock), so maybe I''ll see you later.
By the way...
Was this directed towards me, or just the general public?

Well I''m not exactly a newbie, but I haven''t done much game programming. I''m looking for a project that I can help manage. I''m very well versed in 3D modeling and Animation. I also do DB programming for a living. I''m pretty well versed in c++(a little in both OpenGL and DirectX), and I believe I could help a team out quite a lot with both computer skills as well as team management.

you didnt say what kind of game (if any in mind) you wanted to make?
anyway, i am a concept/graphic artist, also a 3D modeler and texture artist. Im currently working with a team at Matibee.com but have extra time to work on other projects.
you can see a small selection of my work on the website. just go to Matibee.com click on "about us" and click "adam richards portfolio"

Well, I''m enjoying learning OpenGL, and it seems a lot of us here know it, so doing something in OpenGL would be cool.
neonzero2: That''s some nice stuff. How did you make the 3d ones, and what did you use?

I''m mostly into storydesign, if you need someone to built up a story from scratch, improve an existing story, create detailed history of worlds/characters and things in that direction I''m willing to put the effort in.
