Hello all, I was wondering if someone could tell me why the structure is so special? What does it really do, because sometimes I see it getting passed too Blt and other times it doesn''t get passed too Blt? Thank you in advance for everyones help. Michael

DDBLTFX is what it''s name implies, it is a sturcture holding DirectDraw Blitter Effects. I won''t list the sturct here but there are many member variables that you can set to make your blit do different things, such as rotations, alpha stuff, fills, color keys and some others that I don''t know what they''re for.

But if you aren''t doing anything other than copying a rect on one surface to another without having to do any effects to it, you just pass NULL for that parameter in Blt(). You don''t want to pass a big struct that you aren''t using.

There are many books which give a good explaination of the stucture and the SDK documentation explains it too.

hope this helps,
bcj
