I just started using DirectX period and have run into a problem, I get to errors that I can''t seem to get rid of, I have the PlaySegment() function that takes the arguments for the Performance and the Segment, I put in dmusicPerformance and dmusicSegment for the arguments and it says undeclared identifier for both of them, i''m not sure what to change them to, i''ve looked at the code and can''t see where it''s messing up, this is adapted from OpenGL game programming by Dave and Kevin of this site, any help is greatly appreciated.

Exactly what parameters are you passing to PlaySegment()? If you don''t know exactly what the errors are, try using DXGetErrorString8() to get them. And, if all else fails, you can try reading my article here on gamedev.

Hope that helps

No, HTML is not an OO language.

I finally got my sound to work, it turned out I needed to extern 2 variables in my header file (i''m putting stuff in seperate files for easier development) and it worked fine. One problem now though, when the sound plays it has a very echoing sound to it for some reason, like it''s in a very open area, is there a way to make this sound more like the original file? it''s a .wav are there any flags to be used? thanks
