Interesting. I was (as you probably have guessed) let go with a warning today, but I don''t believe anything was written down about me.
The car I was driving was not mine, and the officer now knows this, but he didn''t appear to write anything down while looking at my license (unless he memorized my name or license number which I think is unlikely.)

Didn''t he walk back to his car to look up your record? That''s what they usually due, and at that point the officer would have taken down your info (especially the license plate #).
No, it was a very quick stop. He got out immediately after I pulled over, looked at my driver''s license (not registration), found out the car wasn''t mine, and said he''d let me off with a warning since this was my first time being caught.
Then he walked back and drove away even before I could pull out. He _did_ seem very pissed off though.
He didn''t write down anything off of my driver''s license, and I doubt he could remember my name or the license number. He could have gotten the car''s plate number, but the car isn''t mine, so I hope this doesn''t come up if the actual owner is ever pulled over.
nah you should be safe
I got pulled over but didn't get a ticket once and went to get insurace a few months later. They pulled up record at the insurance office and it was totally clean.
Although I'm assuming you live in the USA and not in a country like Canada where they'd beat you about the head and neck with hockey sticks.
