So, how many of you put easter eggs or hidden messages into your games? I don''t necessarily mean things that the user can find just by holding down certain keys when clicking in certain places, I mean things encoded into the data, too... examining a couple of my favourite Mac games in ResEdit, I find messages saying ''Hackers: welcome to my game'' and stuff like that. Most of the things like that in my games code are just jokes i put in to piss off the people who read it. Its sort of like an anti-gamehack tool at its most basic level.

I put things like "This code really doesn''t do anything, but i was too lazy to remove it" and when the person deletes the chunk of code... BAM! The game never works again. But the trick is, if you actually delete the parts of the code, and make the modifications that the comments suggest, you get this cool encryption program that decripts some files included with the game that don''t do anything
