Is there a way to check the size of a certain string in the "nehe font method" of lesson 13? The thing i want is that a variable String always fits the screens width, no matter how many chars are in it. (so, rescaling it according to the width the string takes on screen...) tnx

Bitmap fonts - hmm. I think you have to rebuild the HFONT member every time you need to resize the font (and reselect it by calling SelectObject()). You can''t have any number of characters on the screen at once - there are limits.

might work: GetTextExtentPoint32, then glScale
