Sooo....much....work

I know what you mean Kyo. It was really hard for me to learn Direct X. I, like the AP somtimes had to force myself to work. But after all that I am really happy that I learned everything I have. I enjoy making games and don''t feel that I have to ''force'' myself to work. I figure once you get over that hump its a lot eaiser. Also I suggest that you write a set of classes/structures/functions that encaspulate the complicated Open GL API in to easy to understand bits. Then when you want to write a game you can focus more on the game content than the 3D part. Good luck, stick with it Kyo!
I''m learning DirectX at the moment. Currently I''m at the moment that I start with Bitmap loading. But before I started that, I wrote a set of functions to init DirectX and stop it. Now I''m working on the load palette routine. Just start with learning and when you come to a point you can say: "I''m at a point I can write a function or 2" then do it. I found out that writing those functions are fun too.
