did i get any good ones??? 1)sams teach yourself c++ in 21 days...4th edition 2)teach yourself c++ 6th edition 3)sams teach yourself in 24 hours begining programming 2nd edition 4)the waite group''s object oriented programming in c++ 3rd edition 5)applications programming in C++ that''s it!any good ones?what should i start first?

I cant speak for the rest, but the Sam''s books I have are all pretty good.

The Sam''s books are typically very good. I don''t see why you have both 21 days and 24 hours (the 21 days is much more thorough). That being said, start out with "Teach Yourself C++ in 21 days." The final two books sound like more advanced topics, but you''ll need to learn basic C++ first.

Sam''s Teach yourself C++ in 21 day is great, that what I''ve been using to teach myself. It progresses in a ''natural'' way, so you become ready to tackle the more intense stuff that comes later in the book.

Definitely a good one

Also if you are wanting to get into game programming. Windows Game programming for dummies is a good start towards windows game programmming.
