I would have done a simple search through the forums, but the search function is down. Anyway, does anyone know of a reasonably good service (preferably free), that I can use to host a development project. It''s only me and one other person, I''m doing the code, he''s doing the art, and it won''t get any bigger. I''d go for sourceforge, but that''s a little overkill in this situation. I''d also host my own FTP, but my university''s housing policy put''s that at a strict NO. Thanks in advance.

I don''t really have time to explain, but try this site.

You probably could find a really cheap host from here.

Well, you mentioned it, so just use it. That''s what it is there for (though your project might not be open source... but since you didn''t mention that originally, I''ll assume open source is no problem).

You didn''t mention any specific features (like PHP, CVS, etc), so I guess you don''t need them. So why not a simple web host that you can throw files onto (I did that with ZeroCatch and put up a small "Coming Soon" page to make it look like there would be a website soon).

Finally, KalvinB was offering to host game development related sites under IcarusIndie. I''m not sure if he is still doing that, but you might try contacting him.

Thanks for the info. I really don''t need CVS even though the project is open source. I guess I could use it, but it might be a little overkill.
