I need a good DirectX tutorial. Step by step from scratch. I also need some tutorial that teaches you how to animate 3d models.. preferrably .x files, but could also be .md2 Thanks

Look at the DirectX documentation that came with the SDK.

OMG!! Don''t tell the poor man to read the Documentation. I suggest that you would jump of a building, it would be much less painful then trying to understand Microsoft documentation. I highly suggest picking up a book, look around at the books & software section at the top. I beleive this tutorial is good (Although I have never read it) http://www.gamedev.net/reference/articles/article589.asp
Good luck!

The documentation may be flawed in a few places.. but the D3D tutorials are okay.

The X-Zone is a great site that was created by some MS-DirectX-Programmers and it covers a lot of interesting topics about DirectX and windows game programming. There are a lot of very interesting articles and they''re easier to understend than the Documentation.
