I was just wondering how to link a cpp to my file from a different directory than the workspace. For example, I have a workspace in directory: c:\workspace And I have a cpp file I want to use in: c:\cppfile I DON''T want to copy that cpp file to the workspace directory. I want to use it from where it is. I can add the file into the project, but it won''t work that way if its not in the same directory as the workspace. So how do I get that to work?? Thanks for your help!!

Go to the project->AddFiles menu. There you can add files from anywhere and they all get compiled into the current project. If you don''t know how to do this, which you SHOULD, then go to www.gametutorials.com

I have added the cpp files to my project but it doesn''t work. I''m not sure what I''m doing wrong...

What exactly do you mean by "it doesn''t work"? I''ve added files like that before and it works fine. Make sure they''re grabbing headers from the right places.

Well, when I compile it, I get an unresolved external symbol error for one of my funtions. When I manually declare the function, or put the cpp file in the same directory as the workspace, it works fine.
