I didn''t see a thread for this yet, but I didn''t look too far. Ever play Dance Dance Revolution or Pump It Up? You really don''t know how fun it is until you try one of them for yourself. These are some of the few arcade games you can keep improving your skill level upon, and you get to show off as well! The first time I played a dance game (Pump It Up), people laughed at me. It was embarassing as heck. Turns out I soon discovered that the worst thing to do is to try and return to the center of the floor every step, and that''s what I was doing (Not liking to dance contributed to that as well). But with a little observation and practice, I was able to kick some ass! What kind of dance game experiences have you had? Or maybe you need help getting started. Or you might want to talk about favorite songs? Whatever the case, just make me feel like i''m not the only person who likes these games... --- Help points: 2 (Eh... I have to start somewhere)
---Will DDR for food.

My wife and I were always interested in trying out Dance Dance, but there''s no way we could even get into one of those lines and embaress ourselves. One night, we went to watch a movie that got out at midnight and we walked in the arcade. They were closing up, but the security guard lady let us check it out. She was also interested in it and wanted to see it played by adults. What a blast! Little did I know at the time that I picked one of the hardest songs and failed miserably.

I was so hooked on it that I built a dance pad for my house and bought Dance Dance Konamix for the PS1. I lost a bit of weight jamming to it every day for a couple weeks. Now, I''m just waiting for DDR MAX for the PS2 so I can get back on it.

So far, my fav songs are End of the Century, Drop the Bomb, Make a Jam (and the following one - can''t remember the name). I can just keep up with that fast Afronation song.

There is a website that shows how to build your own dance pad, did you get instructions from there? It looks a little complicated.

As for favorite songs..

Dance Dance Revolution: Cutie Chaser, Make A Jam
Pump It Up: Beethoven Virus, Another A True Heart, Sad Salsa

Could you add a link to that little widget? I think it''d be cool to replace my keyboard arrowkeys with a dance pad. Burn unsightly flab while playing Quake.

This is the one I built:

Here''s the web page w/instructions. It was a little tough, but fun to build. Cost me about $100 in parts and about 2 days work. Totally worth it IMOH.
