Why on earth do I keep seeing people posting to blatently the wrong forums and not even seeing how wrong they are. Gravity questions in openGL forum, collision detection problems in DirectX forums, scripting questions in graphics programming forums.. It seems that some people have a fundamental problem in figuring out the differece between rendering something and the actual mechanics of whats going on underneath. Collision detection/response seems to be the most abused - anyone linking their collision detection to their graphics code is just asking for trouble and forming bad habits in the future. [/rant]. I feel better now (n.b. this isnt targeted at anyone specificaly, but it just seems to be something thats continually happening).

You should have posted this in the "Console and PDA Development" forum. That''d be pretty funny.

If you''re going off the message topic, then it may seem they are in the wrong forums. The moderators, including myself, usually go through those messages and move them to the correct forums. For instance, I will move all collision detection messages if they do not have anything to do with DirectX. If the message mentions DirectX or a DirectX-related function, then it stays. The majority of collision detection messages talk about DX polygon intersection functions.
