coding rut

code ruts? well I am stuck in a small rut trying to be inspired to code. Im so annoyed when this happens. for 3 weeks I have done jack shit creatively, before that I made a solar system where you could click on the planets. perhaps I should go into a 2d ortho screen and show planet info. what do you blokes do to overcome code staleness. frustrates me, twice this year, wasted 6 weeks worth of coding time Im just a beginner!!! http://www.actsofgord.com

I dig out and play a classic game like Monkey Island 2 or Mario 64, and that helps me remember why I''m doing this

Tip: Anyone attempting this rejuvinational(?) method should be made aware that the technique only works with old games you have previously played thoroughly. Try it with a new game and many more weeks may be spent in an uncreative black hole

Maybe thats why i am in my current rut, I been playing jedi knight 2 for at least 2 of those weeks.

Although Im hot on an idea of importing 3ds (making a good class) levels and frustum culling them (which I''ll have to learn)
Then once I use mymd2 class Icouldmake a bloke walk around the level

still rutted
