Hello,
My name is Raj Sharma, programmer for the "Adventures of Bobo" project. The game is basically finished, but it has one problem... It uses d3dx so the compatibility isn''t all that good. I am looking for someone to port the graphics code over to DirectDraw. You will of course get credit for having done the conversion.
I am hoping that the game can be converted by about November 4th. That''s only about 10 days from now. Of course if you needed say, 15 days, that''s fine too.
If you would like to see the game, it is at:
http://www.ews.uiuc.edu/~rsharma/projects/bobo/BoboInstall.exe
Here is a list itemizing each task which needs to be done:
-Modify whatever variables or structures of my "DirectGraphics" class need to be modified to handle DirectDraw instead of D3D.
-Rewrite the Init() functions: initialization
-Rewrite the Release() functions: shutdown
-Rewrite the Clear() function: clear screen
-Rewrite the function to display what''s on the backbuffer
-Rewrite the Load() function: load JPG, BMP or PNG images
-Rewrite the Draw() functions: blitting images
Special features which need to be handled are:
-Alpha blending
-Color keying
-Modulation by a color
-Image rotation and scaling
Also, as far as PNG, JPG, and BMP loading go... of course you don''t have to write this yourself, since we can use a library to do all the image loading.
If anyone may be able to help, please e-mail me at Rajs20@aol.com. If not I''ll do it myself but since I''m pretty tied up with trying to get a webpage for the game and also starting a new game, it''d definitely be nice if someone could help.
Thanks in advance,
Raj
