Hi there, I have an edit box within a dialogbox where the user enters a name. I created this dialog box by using the compiler, and then calling the Dialogbox function vice the CreateDialog function. Anyhow, how do I get access to the text the user enters? I tried using GetDlgItemText(hwnd, CYCLE_NAME, dialog_buffer, 256); but to no avail, the buffer (which is a LPTSTR) dialog_buffer, is empty when I try to get to it...any ideas? ~Bolt

hwnd must be the HWND of the dialog box, not of the main application''s window. Make sure it is.
