Hello Is there a structured way to understand the linking errors? where should I read?, or it is only experience that will help? For example some linking errors are preceeded with _thiscall how those differs from the ones that do not have _thiscall. Many thanks for the help. I would love going home to M7, but I can''t detect black holes.

It''s really just about the experience. A lot of linking errors you figure out just by trial and error and experimentation - you can also click on them and press F1 (at least if it works the same as compile errors). Usually, you don''t get a huge variety - mostly "unresolved externals".

_thiscall is the calling convention for class member functions - notive the word this, which refers to the context pointer of member functions. So if you get a problem with a _thiscall function, you know what it is.
