After forty years! Orange County finally does it. Gene Autry would''ve been happy.

Great job Angels. They deserved it.

As Bud Selig said, "Somewhere, Gene Autry is smiling right now."

Are you a local fan?

I''ve driven by the stadium close to everyday for the past twenty years. And now they finally won a World Series. I''m happy for them.

I didn''t even realize the world series was being played until today...a guy came through my line and told me the Angels had won, and I was like, huh? Aren''t they on strike or something?

That explains why I''ve seen ''Angels in the Outfield'' twice in the last week on network TV. Thought that was a little odd, but didn''t make the connection since I can''t really stand baseball.

42. First in the franchise. Congratulations.

I actually watched the bottom of the 9th, though I tuned out for the most part once the Yankees were out of competition.

Was he just a fan or also a local boy. I''ve heard at least one of his songs (realize where I''m from and how I was raised)... not bad.

He owned the club. He started the club (or owned it for something like 38 years anyway). He was known as the singing cowboy, an actor. He died in 1998, and never saw his team go to the World Series. You could call him the Angels number one fan. He was #26.

I was really hoping to see it get tied, so they''d go an extra inning or two, and keep me in suspense.
Great series though.

Over 100,000 "Giants World Series Champions" shirts and caps were destroyed last night, because the "memorabilia" companies had to be prepared for any outcome. Angels world series championship merchandise was available to purchase the same exact minute the last fly-ball was caught.

Meanwhile, millions of people in this world cannot even afford clothing.

In 1998, Disney bought the California Angels and renamed them to the "Anaheim Angels" in order to promote DisneyLand more (which is located in Anaheim).

It sickened me to see Micheal Eisner accepting the pennant award last night, and giving a speech like he deserved any credit for the angels winning; Any Angels fan I talk to says Eisner hasn''t given two shits about the team until last night. *sigh*

Congrats to the hard-working baseball players on the Angels, though; It''s always nice to see the underdog win.

Actually, I live in Ohio. I just got really into the Series this year for whatever reason, and it''s nice to see Barry Bonds get beat. Other than that, it''s fun to watch cause the Yankees aren''t in it.

Wow. Thanks.

My dad told me that a few years ago. I heard one of his Christmas tunes, Buono Natale, which is actually really good.
