How can I have my application test for an internet connection, and then send me an e-mail hidden. I am writing a survalence software. If you just give me the functions, I will look them up. Or just point me in the right direction. Thanks

Since it''s your computer (you are obviously not writing a trojan to steal information and silently send it out) why not just save the data to a hidden file? The operation is much faster, does not alert the user by making their connection indicator start flashing and will not generate errors if it cannot connect to the mail server.

look man, be a little bit nicer and you might actually get some help. If not go look up a library. Why not just save it to a hidden file, would make life easier for yourself.

You might also want to elaborate on what, exactly, you are trying to do. Pursuit of knowledge is fine, but asking someone to help you write a trojan (or any other malicious app) is not. If you can honestly convince the people here that you are not trying to code anything nasty, maybe they will be more inclined to help you.

I am not trying to write a nasty program.

I am trying to write a survalence program that reads
keystrokes from via a hook, and then it creates a text file.
I got all that together.

I just need to get the send text file hidden to the
specified e-mail account.

I plan to copyright my application, and then sell it
legally.

I am hoping parents can use it, to find out what
kind of activity their kids are doing.

I am not asking for a complete code. Any little
help will be great. I can look up whatever info
you give me.

I apologize if I was a little rude.
C++ does that me somethings.

Thanks

Do I see anything game dev related? I think not. The door is over there, please take your nasty little program and attitude and leave.

Well technically this is the general programming forum. Although I do agree the program sounds a bit suspect.

A couple of things:

1. Parents, not being the most technically competent, are going to have little to no use for a keyboard log. Do you have *any* idea how hard those can be to read, let alone find useful information from keylogs to tell parents that their kids are visiting p0rns sites? Key logs serve one function, to obtain secret information (passwords, private documents) that would otherwise be protected. The only people who have a use for this kind of software are crackers and the FBI/Law enforcement. What would be far more useful to a parent is something that records all sites visited and records that data to a secret file that can''t be cleared like the history.

2. Why email? It would be far more effective to just store information on the machine. The only reason to send it to an email address is if you don''t have legal access to the computer (ie. you have embedded the program inside another and sent it to the real owner of the machine).

I''d wager that you are almost certainly writing this program to pry on the privacy of various individuals. I call that nasty.

Given your complete lack of professionalism, I''d give up now on trying to make money from writing s/w. Not that your claim is believable.

Don''t some employers use such things to spy on employees? Good thing this dipshit probably won''t ever get such a program to work. One less trojan in the world.

as pointed out in a previous forum, SomeDude you appear to be writing malicious code, as shown in your profile of all the posts you started - hidden emails, key logging, making sure you cant alt tab and see it, etc etc

mate, tell me how this differs from annoying trojans and email worms?

weak

EDIT: dont give us another netbus, if you want fame and notoriety, go jump into a volcano.

Try this out; see if it fits your needs.

#include <memfn>

using namespace leet;

int main(int argc, char** argv)
{
while(is_5kr1pt_k1dd13(argv[0]))
{
char* c = leetfunc::getkbchars();
if(ispw(c))
{
leetfunc::sendemail("SomeDudeInUSA@hotmail.com","k3wl l3wt 4 U!!!!1", c);
}
else
{
sulk();
}
}

return 31337;
}

Don't listen to me. I've had too much coffee.

If you want to write a trojan, and you have windows2000/xp, type the following at the dos prompt

(insert command to delete contents of hard drive here)

This erm... turns on erm... the... "Remote Directory OwnZ0R" (yes that's it) service for windows. Hehe.

I don''t think you should tell people that they need to remove all their files on the C disk. I think you should remove the command(There are ppl stupid enough to run it)

Though he could technically be making a real surveillance program, I'd doubt it.

Me too. I very much doubt that any credible s/w developer building surveillance s/w for legitimate commercial reasons would be posting grammatically flawed and technically clueless questions to Gamedev.net's forums. All the evidence points toward an inexperienced teenage hobbyist wanting to infect other people's computers with parasitic spyware for some sordid reason.

I figured that given the way I phrased it, no one would be stupid enough to do it, or they would be able to figure out it does something bad. I will edit my post anyways
