OK I''m using the latest version of MinGW32 under WindowsXP. I have a program that compiles fine(with a few unimportant warnings) and run fine. The only problem is that when I load it up under GDB and run it I get this error message warning: HEAP[Smash.exe] warning: Invalid allocation size - EAB7C040 (exceeded 7ffdefff) Another command prompt also flashes up with this message. The apllication has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application''s support team for more information Anybody got any idea what''s going on?

*BUMP*

Oh and I have searched google and looked at the docs etc and found nothing. Does anybody have even the smallest bit of information on what is causing this error. I''m fairly sure it''s memory related and my program does use more memory than I think it should which is a problem I''m trying to sort out but surely having a program use about 20mb of mem wouldn''t stop the debuggere from running?

sounds like you are out of RAM? HEAP = available ram. check your amt of free ram space....

Well I''ve got 128mb left acording to XP when I run the program through GDB and anyway it runs fine when I''m not running it through the debugger so I''m sure there''s enough memory
