Hi there! I think every people that are registered in Gamedev.net should do a game. I mean everyone should work in this game. The game genre should be voted later. What do you think? Thanx

What game are you talking about, the Gauntlet thing?

i think it is a good idea... but somehow difficult to organise...
i know a project which started as a free-for-all internet project and it didnt worked... they organised themselves as a team and now it is going strong....
a team with free-for-all sourcecode 'could' work, and then everyone could point the programmers sourcecode errors and stuff...
many genres would be good , too
there is many ppl in this community , so i think it could work with some time

Pavlo is right ... I knew a group game that could NOT settle down and get organized simply because they were all from different places in different time zones with nothing more than message boards to communicate. And that was a small group ... GameDev is SO huge I don''t see how you could BEGIN to divide up the tasks, especially because a large majority of the really talented programmers/artists are pro''s with jobs and other responsibilities that couldn''t participate.

Good in theory, but I doubt it would ever pan out. GameDev already has that Gauntlet thing going, anyways.
