Development Team

Original Post
Hi all. I'm new at this forum. Basically, my development team went ruined from the members not turning up to do programming. I've got to ask you all - If anyone is experienced with C or C++ (preferably C or both equally), then you can do the programming. But here's the list of the positions available if you're interested, aswell as the rules. There are two teams - RPG MAKER 2000 and 3D. I am more focused on the 3D team, and am thinking about scrapping the RPG MAKER.
RULES
1. If you want to be on the team, make sure you can come on at least four times a week (until we gather up some more staff) at the minimum. Special exceptions are tolerated, but if you lied to me or the management team about an event that is fictional and are caught on a site when you said you were to be programming, you will be replaced by someone else immediately. It may seem harsh, but it's the rules.
2. When you're on the team, I don't want to see you flaming the other staff or members of the community. If you're caught, you will be banned. If you do it for a third time, you will be kicked out of the team permanently.
3. You must follow orders, but try to make it fun for yourself. I may seem full of crap right now, but I'm not that bad. Try me. :D
I guess that's about all. If I have anymore I'll add them in the future. If you're interested in joining, reply in this topic, PM me or send me an e-mail titled "Fire Wave Productions - Staff Application" and type in what you would like to do on the RPG MAKER 2000 team or the 3d Team. Here is the staff for the 3D Team.
NOTE:
Just because one, two or three slots are filled doesn't mean there is no more positions in the same field. I'll state if we have enough in that field or not. Here it is:

Want to apply? Contact Ultima God via PM, e-mail or reply to the topic... being a part of this development team is non-profitable at the present moment, but Fire Wave Productions will hopefully become profitable once the development team is stable and our staff list is full. I look forward to any replies.

Oh man, I''ve always wanted a prop modelling job!
Just too bad nvision nailed that receptionist job before me...
"With my feet upon the ground I lose myself between the sounds and open wide to suck it in, I feel it move across my skin. I''m reaching up and reaching out. I''m reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me, what ever will bewilder me. And following our will and wind we may just go where no one''s been. We''ll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one''s been." - Maynard James Keenan

I would like to apply for the position of manual writer.
I have over 15 years of experience in the industry, having written the manuals for Ice Hockey (NES), Final Fantasy II (SNES), Metal Gear Solid (PS), and most currently NHL 2003 (PS2 version ONLY)
Please consider me for this position.

The website in his profile leads me to believe that he''s serious. GameDev needs some sort of catch-all article to take care of these kids, similar to the DirectX vs OpenGL article. Someone needs to lay down the law.

This is scary.... It''s like one of those movies where someone''s lived on a deserted island all alone with no human interaction for their whole lives, and all they''ve ever learnt about other humans they''ve learnt from Disney movies.
Sorta scary what with how isolated some OPs can be...

put me down for office managment. looks like you''ve got your
hands full with all of these ''employees''... somebody should

Do NOT let Dr. Mario touch your genitals. He is not a real doctor!
wow...
For god''s sake, AP. Get a sense of humour. Whether the OP''s serious or not, this post is freakin'' hilarious.
If he''s serious, then he''s gonna have to learn to laugh at his own mistakes, and then do just a little research before asking others for help.
If he''s not, then ''Bravo!''.

Why I Like to Make Fun of Posts Like These:
Once I got this message from a guy about how he wanted to seriously look at my mod for retail consideration. He had a professional looking website and professional sounding names. So I got very excited and we continued the conversation.
Turned out he was some 13 year old kid who decided to "make" a company with his 13 year old friends. I got my hopes up and then got burned.

You need a lesson called Ambition Control 101.
Your dream is too much, dude.
Know your skill before you start asking for help.
Receptionist? this one makes me laugh. seriously.
Imagine this:
FireWire Production
1281 W Bank Street
Blah, CA 92037 (a fake US address)
Call: 42-39-634-5140 (a phone number in a different country)
My compiler generates one error message: "does not compile."

Ok, enough flaming. I only want to see posts offering help here now.
Ultima, my advise would be to drop the company line and especially the rules. Not many people are interested in ''working'' for someone who can offer them very little return, however working WITH them is a big difference.
Regards,
Marc.
