I don''t guess this is the best place, but I dunno where the best place would be exactly, so I figured why not. I have a game. My game is nearly done. Now I want beta testers. I have no beta testers except for my brother and two other folks I know that played the game maybe once and all they did, if anything, was tell me gameplay stuff to change that I was going to change anyways. No technical "it crashed when I did this and this and this" kinda stuff. How am I supposed to get GOOD beta testers? People that will actually play my game and try to KILL it! People that will show NO MERCY! People that will drive themselves insane hunting down tiny little bugs that no ordinary man would ever even find in the real world! Do these people exist? Big companies can just go "ok, we''re testing our game. Sign up now." and they get 1000s of people signing up. They have tons of people to choose from! How do I, a no body, get good testers?

post the game on a webpage, then have people try it out, and report bugs. For example, posting your game in game programming with topic "Help me test my game!" or something similar, then ask that you want the people who test to report problems that they found.

Of course, I''ve never did it, so take my word with a grain of salt.

I did that a while back with the "tech test" version of my game. I did get some ok feedback, but most of it was still non-technical. The only bug I got fixed from the whole thing (well, i think I fixed it) was a problem with the sound.

Plus i don''t think anyone really tested the game. They played it for a bit, and if it crashed they said "it crashed" and if not they said "cool"
