Hi, I''m into D3D for a week or so (have read some general 3d stuff before). My problem now is: I''ve loaded a model (vertex, color) and I want to display it. I rotate it and it seems that the further side of the object is drawn. I have zbuffer on (no errors) and culling completely off (cause when it was on, it seems that only faces that are CW are drawn). So the problem is, how the hell with culling turned off and zbuffer on can I suffer from this... Thanks

are you sure you set it to CULL_NONE?

and if you are, maybe its your model? select all the faces then flip the normals!

Yeah, I''m sure I have the culling off... I flipped the normals and it works a little bit better. But the object is a standard 3d max teapot (I tried a cube as well and it doesn''t work all right as well, so the normals should be okay

if(FAILED(pi_device->SetRenderState(D3DRS_CULLMODE, D3DCULL_NONE)))
return FALSE;

but it works a little bit at least. maybe there''s something wrong with the z buffer. Like the further faces overlay the closer ones, I haven''t done anythink with this kind of setting.

Is your near clipping plane of the projection matrix >0 ? If it is 0 , set it to something higher .
