i''m making a map editor with two layer, here is the probleme. I want to make one layer more darken then the other one so i can cleary see what layer is the primary and the other one secondary. exemple if your editing layer one the second layer while be darken so you can still see it. is there a bitblt raster combination that i could use for doing this effect? And no i don''t want to use "getPixel and setPixel" to change every pixel RGB value because i think it will be very slow if a use this technique. !!osto!! Sorry about my poor english but anyway...

I don''t know about bitblt parameters, but if you can''t get that to work you could consider drawing a second bitmap over the layer to be darkened. The second bitmap would be mainly transparent with some black pixels (1 in 4, perhaps, or 1 in 2) which will give the appearance of being in shadow.
