First up, what i can bring to the project.. An extensive knownledge of c/c++ and assembly in both intel x86 & AT&T syntax, i do have experience with a fair few other languages but i'd rather stick with c++ & assembly. I also have quite a handle on OpenGL, DirectInput, DirectSound & limited knowledge of Direct3D. I do have a small engine (work in progress) with a rotating cube showing off real-time per-pixel lighting & tangent space bump mapping. The engine also supports material scripts, config files & has a console for modifying settings ( If you've seen q3's you will get a strong sense of deja-vu ). I've also got experience with game-logic via quake3 modding, if you want info about the mods just mail me. What i'm hoping to find: A project of the RTS genre with a solid design document and team members that know what their doing, in other words are somewhere just before or in the intermediate level for their area of expertise. I'm not looking for any money whatsoever, just something to pick up as a hobbyist project. EDIT: I will consider an FPS if it somehow involves mechs.. those big ol' 40foot & 30tonne hunks of mobile metal ;D. If you are interested in picking myself up into your project just post here or contact me on GeNe@adrenal-studios.com , and i'll get back to you as soon as possible. if you don''t find a good RTS dev team, then consider working with me. So far I''m working alone as a programmer. I have licensed a good 3D engine for the game so I focus on actual game code. There''s little written for design document, I just have a bunch of ideas that I want to follow and a bunch of notes. My approach to development is mostly functional, meaning that making the program work is 1st priority, game design 2nd. heh

There''s no area of programming that I can''t do myself, but I figure things would go faster with 2nd programmer.

And I should mention that I refuse to work with people under 18, they are just too unreliable, as my experiences in the past show.

That''s understandable. So what engine have you licensed?

<2 cents>I agree with the previous poster except for the mad face. He has vaild reasons for not wanting to work with 18 year olds. I understand him and have found more minors unable to be dedicated than adults. I feel that if the minor actually has a decent amount of things to show, not to mention dedication and knowledge of the time involved for projects, then they should at least be given a shot.

Seeing as how you''ve already got someone interested in your talents, I won''t explain a whole lot unless you really would like to make a fantasyish parallax scroller in real-time.
