well, i was quite unsure in which topic i had to post... I hope this one fits well. I''m seeking good ressources, explanations, examples, algorithms about predicting the path of the balls in a pool game. This topic seems really hot to me and it''s surely not the thing that can be explained with a couple of lines... So any good link to valuable ressources would be appreciated. To avoid some useless posts, let me precise that of course the problem aren''t the basics. Computing the (angular) velocity, speed loss, speed & direction after colliding with another ball... aren''t the problem. The real problem is to know how to compute and to manage the whole. Each ball can be moving, can collide with another moving one, or not. The biggest problem in point of view is that there are all moving together and i don''t know how to compute an immediate result. The needed result is to have the path and velocity at each moment for each ball. thanks

Go to Gamasutra (either gamasutra.com, or use Google), and search for "Pool Hall Lesson", or something like that.
