hi i just desided to start a skiing game( 3d). unfortunatly i have quite a few problems when i sit down to do the planning. so these are my major problems the rest i''ll try and figure out. 1) how do i do for having a terrain, gravity, random terrain with snow and rocks? 2) how do i make the ice more slippery? 3) how do i save the exact location and time of the skiier? 4) how do i do to have an animation of the skiier turning, falling, ect? 5) is there a way the skier can fall on a probability and learn from it( ie: gain expierance and the probaility of falling goes down)? 6) how do i make gravity and friction affect my skiier? 7) how do i modify these? thanx alot if you want the questions in french or spanish e-mail me

You must answer these three questions correctly before I''ll tell you.

1. What API(s) are you using?
2. What language are you using?
3. What am I doing right now?

Ok ok... At least answer the first two...

And the API? Look here to get started if you haven''t figured out an API yet. OpenGL, SDL, DirectX, OpenAL, and the Win32 API are all possible APIs for various parts of a game. Check ''em out.

Nehe''s OpenGL Site
NVidia''s Developer Site
Can''t think of any others off the top of my head...

PS: Posting your question again 20 minutes after your first post when you don''t get an immediate answer makes you look bad.

If you don''t know how to do that stuff then why the HELL are you writing this game. First rule. If you don''t know something GO FIND OUT. Try the articles & resources section here on GDnet.
